2 year old well baby visit

Yesterday we went to the dr's office for William's 2 year old well baby visit. He is 2 years and 2 months old (2 years past due date, but no more adjusting for us!!). He weighed 31.4 lbs (he finally broke the 30 pound mark!) and was 35.5 inches tall. His blood tests were good and his eyes looked great. He is wonderfully healthy, just has a few lingering allergies that cause a runny nose and a cough from time to time.
Developmentally, he is great!! His language skills measured at 3 years 1 month and his motor skills measured at 2 years 10 months. I was greatly impressed. I knew he did great, but I had no idea!!
The only thing of concern were his lead levels. They were 6.3, which are on the higher normal side. They don't get worried until they get to 10, but we are now watching him more closely and trying to keep him from putting things in his mouth. If I didn't know that he had all of his teeth, I would swear he was teething by the way he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. We go back in 3 to 4 months to have them checked again and hopefully things will still be ok. I really don't know where he would be getting lead. As far as I know we don't have any of the recalled toys and I really have no other idea where he might be getting lead from. I am also thinking of putting a filter on my faucet just in case there might be something in the water that is getting to him.
That's how yesterday went. I'm very proud of my little man!!!
