Christmas in the Country Weekend

This past weekend was Christmas in the Country for our small little town. It's a yearly event that is filled with lots of activities and vendors set up in town. There is a parade and breakfast with Santa. This year William is very taken with Christmas, so we enjoyed ourselves.
We started out Saturday morning at 8am with Breakfast with Santa. We had William's cousin Matthew with us and the boys had a ball. They are both 3 and enjoy each other, so that made it even more special. We took the boys back home to play for a while after I learned that containing them in town was not going to be very fun. They were awesome and we made our way back into town for the "hoorade" as Matthew called it.
The parade was a ball. We met my best friend and her son, Dylan, in town for the parade. The 3 boys were very excited and their excitement was catchy. They caught lots of candy and saw Santa at the end of the parade.
After the parade was over, we took the boys back home for a nap. They did not last long on the way home and William and Matthew were both OUT!! They needed the rest to get ready for that night. We had a birthday party for my "baby" brother. He turned 25 the day before and we celebrated in style! My Daddy made a big jambalaya and Mamma had lots of snacks at their house along with a huge bonfire. The kids (both big and small) had a blast. The little kids ended up rolling down the hill and riding down that same hill on the ride-on toys. The big kids laughed at the little kids until our stomachs hurt. It was a wonderful night and a wonderful weekend!!

I will leave you with a picture of 3 of my favorite boys in the world - Matthew, William and Dylan.
