Minor Surgery

William will be having minor surgery on Friday, April 23.

We had quite the scare earlier in the week in that we discovered that his umbilical hernia had not closed up like I had thought and that some of his intestines were poking through. Thankfully, later that night, the intestines went back into his abdomen, but we will now have the hernia repaired before this happens again.

While we are doing this minor surgery and have him under, we will also be revising his circumcision. These issues are both residual preemie issues for him, as both are common side effects of prematurity. He was circed around his due date, but due to him being so small still, they didn't want to take off too much and it now needs to be revised due to him already starting to have some minor issues with it. We would rather do it now with the opportunity to knock out two birds with one stone than wait until he is older and have to deal with it then.

Please pray that he does not have much pain throughout this procedure and that we are able to bounce back to our normal life quickly!! Thanks so much!
