Last night was meeting night for the Covington Household. I am a member of the Women's Service League here in St. Francisville and Eddie is a member of a 4 wheel drive club in Baton Rouge. The first Tuesday of every month is the meeting for both groups, so our separate ways we go.
Last night we let William choose which he wanted to go with. Being the Daddy's boy that he is at times, he chose to go with his Daddy. Eddie said he was excellent during the meeting, which is at Ryan's Steak House and so he got to eat. FYI - His favorite thing to eat at Ryan's are the "traffic cones" aka candy corn for the ice cream! We also make sure that he has toys and books to play with while the meeting is going on.
Well, last night he decided to join in the meeting himself. As the meeting got underway, they looked around to make sure that there were no new members who needed to be introduced. William quickly raised his hands when they asked for the new members. In the wonderful way that these people accept family, they let William introduce himself. "W I L L I A M, William." and then he was asked what he drove, to which he replied "my Gator!"
As you can imagine, he stole the show and enjoyed being in the spotlight. Gotta love that child of mine!!!
