Sick Little Boy

We have had a scary few days around our house. William started running a fever about 2:45 Wednesday afternoon. By 9:00, his fever was up to 104 2 hours after Tylenol and after a lukewarm bath. It was pretty scary! I didn't have any Motrin to give him and living in a small town, there was nowhere to get any. I gave him more Tylenol after 3 hours and it finally started coming down. The next morning, I had to go to work for a little while and so William stayed home with Eddie (had worked the night before and had to work the next night). I took his temp before I left and it was down to 101.7. I thought we were on the mend and ready to go. WRONG!!
When I got back home about 11:00, he was lethargic and pitiful in the bed and his fever was back at almost 104. SCARY!! We went straight to our pedi's office and she said she thought it was an adenovirus, but put him on Omnicef just to be sure. His strep test was negative, but his throat was hurting.
He continued with the high fevers (thankfully controled by the Tylenol/Motrin double hit) until this morning. About 5:45 he was down again to about 102 and I gave him a dose of Tylenol. Since then, he hasn't spiked a fever since!!! He is getting back to his old self and has even laughed and cut up a few times.
Hoping this is the end of this scary adventure. I do not like seeing my boy so pitiful and absolutely miserable.
