Today we made our last milestone as a preemie. William was discharged from Woman's Home Health and his RSV synagis shots are over with. His last shot was supposed to be in April, but our insurance company will not pay for an April shot. Dr. Pat said that it was fine for him not to have this dose, so he is officially discharged from Home Health!!
This is his last remaining issue/problem associated with his prematurity, as far as we know. He is now officially a big boy! I feel like it's NICU discharge date again.
When they called me at school today, I had tears in my eyes when I got off of the phone. I quickly got my composure so that I wouldn't scare the kids and then had my tears while the kids were at PE. It's a wonderful feeling to have a "normal" child. I can't believe this day is finally here!
From 4 lbs 2.3 oz 16.5 inches to
about 28 lbs and 33 inches long.
GOD IS GOOD!!!
