Yesterday I had to bite the bullet and go buy William some new shoes. His old ones were getting much too small. He did really well with those, though. We got them back in October and they lasted this long.
Well, here it is... He's up to a size 7 XW!! We of course go to Stride Rite for shoes b/c of the XW part. He got a new pair of tennis shoes and a new pair of boots that were on clearance. I was excited, I got both pair for $60. We paid $55 for his last pair of tennis shoes alone. We have no choice in the matter, though. With his wide foot, we have to go where they will have the xw shoes. Any other xw shoe I find is only about $10 cheaper and I would rather go to where I know the fit is right and the shoes will last to get his shoes.
He also got a pair of rubber boots yesterday!! He looks so cute in them! It is getting close to spring and every little country boy needs a pair of rubber boots. I had to get the regular old black and red boots because of his thick foot. All of the decorative, cute boots don't fit him. I would really rather the "old style" boots for him because they're like his Papaw's and Uncle Bubba's.
My little boy is growing up too fast!!
