And The Verdict Is...

This morning, I brought William in to see our pediatrician. He's been pulling at his ears some and we're leaving Thursday to go on vacation. I didn't want to get to the beach and have a crisis with his ears or something. Turns out, he doesn't have an infection. The tube in his left ear is coming out. It's filled with and surrounded by wax and pressing up against his ear drum. That's why he's been pulling at it. The other ear looks good and so does the tube. We'll do drops in his left ear twice a day and in his right ear once a day. His left ear, to get the tube worked out and his right ear for good measure.
He does have a little bit of a sinus drip, but we're just going to do Claritin for it. She also told me that he looks great and that he didn't need to come in when he turns 2 next month. She saw him today and wants me to wait until October to bring him in. He can get his flu shot then and we'll save a trip to the dr.'s office filled with sick people.
Oh, by the way, he's 29.9 lbs and 34 inches tall. He's grown an inch and hasn't gained a whole pound, no wonder his clothes don't fit him very well. We're still in between 18 month and 24 month clothes. 18s are too small and short, but 24s are too big in the waist still, for the most part. We're wearing a lot of rompers, 24 months fit in those.
