I checked my e-mail yesterday and was glad to see that our WalkAmerica kick off is coming up. It is scheduled for July 11. The lady left her number and asked me to call her, so I did this morning. I was very honored when she asked me to speak at the luncheon. I will be telling about our story with William. It will be between 5 and 10 minutes and as much as I am comfortable with sharing. She also asked that I send her some pics of William so that they can blow them up and make it easier for people to see them.
I've started working on what I'm going to say and the more I think, the more nervous I get. I'm excited, but it's also something that very personal that I've never spoken about in front of people. My friends know the story and I've told people about it, but never as a public speaking type of thing. I think it will be great, though.
